Happy Valentine’s Day

I’ve had two special Valentines in my life.

Two men.

One that I started life with and one that I hope I’ll end life with.

One does not replace the other.

The first one taught me how to better love, to make memories, cherish everything and to fight for what I want.

The second one taught me that it’s ok to love again, to build a family with someone else, and that broken pieces turn into beautiful things.

There is so much love in my heart for these two men.

To the first one, thank you for the life you started and ended with me. Thank you for teaching me the most important things in life, to love and to fight. Thank you for the six amazing Valentine’s days you made special for me. Death may have separated us, but as long as I live I will forever love you.

To the second one, thank you for helping me piece my life back together. Thank you for loving me when I was a complete mess. Thank you for taking my two kids in as your own. Thank you for teaching this broken lady to love again. I pray that we share many more Valentine’s days together. I love you more now then I did at the beginning.

To the widows/widowers who are struggling on this day, I know your pain. Remember the love you shared. And know that it’s ok to love again when your heart is ready regardless of what others think. After all God’s plan will surprise you. Love overpowers!

Happy Valentine’s Day❤
