Judgement Day

A few days ago I had to go to court for a speeding ticket I received. I wouldn’t have went to court if I had just paid the ticket, but God had bigger plans for me. God let paying that ticket slip my mind so he could show me something I wouldn’thave seen if I had not of went.

As court was in session I was surrounded by people that had violated the law in some form whether it was big or small.

As I sat there, I watched the Judge call name after name. Each one of us had to stand before the Judge. Each one of us had to hear the judge tell us what we had done wrong and each one of us had to either plead quilty or not guilty. For some I could tell it was rather embarrassing for them, but to me it was God encouraging me.

After several people, it was my turn. The judge called my name. I walked up and stood in front of him. I knew all eyes were on me and all ears were listening to what I had done. As he read off my ticket that I had been speeding, he looked up at me and ask how did I plead. I was guilty as all get out. I pleaded guilty. Then he ask if I could pay the ticket today. I paid the ticket and it was over and done with.

All day after court God begin to show me some things.

At the end of our life, when our last breath on earth is taken we will all have to stand before Judge Jesus Christ. He will remind us of something we have done or have been doing. The difference is, he’s not going to ask us how do we plead. He will already know if we are guilty or not.

I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work. -Ecclesiastes 3:17

Our sentence won’t be to just pay the ticket off. We won’t be able to pay our way out of hell. There will be two sentences, Heaven or Hell.

What if on our judgement day we are surrounded by people we know. Will they be shocked at what we done? Will they be shocked at the life we lived compared to the life we portrayed to them? Will they be shocked to hear we will be cast into hell for eternity?

God had me in that court room to show me this. It won’t be like that on his judgement day. No matter how christ like I try to live, I must never run off the road and if I do I must immediately swerve back on the road and keep going. I have no time to wonder off. Time is running out.

Don’t let the judge sentence you to Hell!
